lonebearimages 0 Posted April 27, 2006 4/27/2006 Janet: I really love this picture, it is simple, but simply loaded with detail (sorry 'bout the play on words). It is a wonderful composition with the flower centering and framed by the dried grasses and small bush. Then your eye is drawn off toward the water and the background by following the rail fence. Great job og getting low to the ground and capturing this image. Something to try next time is shift the daffodil right or left, using the rule-of-thirds - just see what it does for the composition - This picture orks very, very well as it is. Keep taking pictures, you've obviously got some talent. Best regards, Chris I too am trying to make my mark with photography, I post as 'Chris H(SoCalif)' Link to comment
erskine_hewett 0 Posted April 28, 2006 This is one of the most beautiful photographs I have ever seen. The most incredible thing for me is the contrast between the bright colour and ordered beauty of the flowers and the dull, chaotic twigs and shoots just behind. And the emphasis and movement provided by the sweeping, receeding railings is wonderfully dramatic. I am also very impressed by the way you have almost invisibly tilted the horizon to make the composition work so well. My heartfelt congratulations! 7/7 Link to comment
