jnicholson 0 Posted April 24, 2006 The focus and detail on the head are nice. The sensor plane and the beak must have been near parallel since you've maintained focus along the beak. That's nice. The composition is interesting. My first thought was "no way" but giving it time and looking at it more I now like the way the head and neck frame the negative space. That's really pretty cool. The background looks odd in places especially the upper left corner. Is it as it was in camera or did you blur it in Photoshop? You didn't include your exposure detail so it's hard to tell. I actually believe this is a Great Blue Heron. I've photographed hundreds of them myself. Nice job. Link to comment
