jnicholson 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Hi Jayme, I don't know if this goes directly against what you were trying to do but I'd like to see the petals be a bit closer to white. I'm undecided about the two brighter green spots in the bottom left. My first thought was that they are too bright but also I think they add life and depth to the shot. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Good color and bokeh but the focus seems a little soft to me. Is this due to the paint program you used? The effect is not apparent to me. Should I have my cataracts operated on? I'm an admitted sharpness freak, in most cases, and maybe biased. I would probably tone down the bright spots on the lower left it this were mine. Once again, very nice framing choice. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 22, 2006 I would also tone down the bright spots; they capture all of my attention, leaving none for the flowers. :) I like the painted effect on these flowers - very nice! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted April 24, 2006 I would have to say that, for this one, I actually like the original post a bit more than the filtered one. The clarity and the colors work better for me there.... Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted April 26, 2006 Jamie- You're right, amazing how you can look at something & miss it. The white spots never registered :0 Now they do. Ken-Yeap, the softness is the painter program & the bright spots must go :) Kim- Ditto. Never ceases to amaze me how I can stare at something so long & miss that. :) That's why it's nice to have other's opinions. Mehmet- Thanks you :) Lou Ann- Me too :) However, the original of the painted version looks better very large. You can then see the finer details of the paint program, not seen on the compressed version. I'll have to print it & see what the reality is :) M- You are right on, the larger print version may look better, don't know yet :) I've literally have had no time to print :( Maybe this weekend. Thank you to all for you thoughts, they are greatly appreciated & very useful :) Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted April 27, 2006 It's called "Scriptina". I like to think it resembles my own hand writting, of course, on a very good day :) Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted April 30, 2006 Really pretty Jayme, but I agree the 3 bright spots pull the eye toward them Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted May 5, 2006 Jayme, so nice to see the new work. Although I have to say...I will appreciate this image more after allergy season has passed. They got me up early this morning but c'est la vie. Link to comment
