I really like this shot. The placement of the sign and the jet trail work well, and the white line of the jet trail, the yellow and black of the sign, and the wood of the pole are simple and clean against the blue of the sky.

The simplicity of the composition makes a theme fit both difficult and easy. Because there's so little to play with, it's difficult to grasp the photographer's thoughts in composing and submitting the image. But because there's so little, it's pretty easy for the viewer to take whatever they want from the image. For my part, looking at the signs of pollution, I'd like to think how it could have been - just a plain blue sky. Not much of an interesting image though, and a lot less travelling.

I like this photo also, although the theme fit escapes me here. Makes me want to jump on a plane and escape.

it fits the theme well I think if this is meant to be a UFO. A bit too much like a real plane though. The simple composition that doesn't tell all the story is a good fit for a questioning (or exclamationing!) image.

Thank you fellow PTs for your input. I thought it was quite amusing to think of the plane as going along minding its own business when suddenly it sees a sign warning of a brine pit - and quickly it ascends to miss being drowned by salinity.

It made me laugh when I saw it and there's a theme fit in there somewhere although hard to explain exactly. It's as if the "could have been" is in the eyes of the photographer on seeing this scene.

Nice colours, compostion. Good timing PT!

To me the theme fit is in the "keep clear". I like this photo even if there not much happening. I don't think it would stand by itself outside of this assignment however.
