This was a very quick shot, originally in colour but i changed it to

B&W for effect. I am quite new to photography and I would appreciate

any comments to help me improve my work

so your are new to photography. portraits shots you need good lighting to give full details to the eyes. how sharp is the eye is the most important thing about a portrait. next removing most of the shadows in the face. use replectors, take advantage of available lights. sun light, open window. always used tripod if you want the sharpest image. make it simple and natural as possible. always examin and learn from the photos of great portrait photographers. study, study & study.....

nice shot next time shot from the bottom and focus in the leaps of the person the will look different
