Would be better with a border

Hello Edgar, I continue to be impressed by your work. This image is spectacular, although I would love to see it as black and white. This colour makes my eyes scream.

I really like this image but agree with the comment above, not sure about the colour. I'd love to see it in black and white.

Does a border make a picture? I don't agree. As for the colours, why this colour? I like it anyhow. Nice shot for an album cover, but maybe that's because of your signature.

No, a border doesn't make a picture; it only enhances it. That is why museums and galleries do not display bare canvasses nor flush-mounted photographs.

 

In a forum such as this, sometimes you will find the photograph displayed against stark white, sometimes against a medium shade of grey depending upon what page within the site it appears. A border takes out the variable while contributing to the impact of the image.

 

Notice, too, the highest scoring images almost always have borders.

The quality of the picture itself doesn't change by choosing a border, but it's perception does and ttereby could make a picture stand out more. Thanks for the reply on my post.
