Eye in the sky!

I might go B&W with this, to take away the distraction of the orange light. Also, the light is a little too close to the pod, although repositioning might take the pole too close... mmm. The pole itself, I quite like. With the top cropped off, it acts as a divider, seperates the clear sky, and kind of provides a choice of where to go after emerging from underground(assuming we are underground, but let's assume we are :-)). Do we head for the man-made structure(after having just come from one), or the expanse of the sky?

Upping the contrast to darken the steps would also help seperate the inside from the outside.

Thanks for the honest and very detailed critique. I always value this very highly. I may have a go at this in black and white some day, but I have very limited success with these conversions. Anyone got a link to a good tutorial on B/W conversions in photo shop?

This one has lots, check the Digital Darkroom and the pdf tutorials. That should keep you going :-)
