ada-ipenburg 0 Posted April 18, 2006 Dear Pnina, I love the 'paintinglike' look and the subdued colours and light and ofcourse the reflection, which is such a great addition to this image. How have you managed to catch such a great group of really very impressive birds? Warm Greetings, Ada;) Link to comment

r 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Quite an amazing shot, and a wierd moment of what the hell are those pelican reflections doing looking all brown and leftward going. Only then did i spot the actual others, brown and going leftward. Link to comment

paula grenside 0 Posted April 20, 2006 Love the paste colors in this, Pnina. Beutiful and evocative. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted April 20, 2006 I also love the colors here! They're sort of muted ... makes the scene very calming ... although I'll bet there was a lot of energy and sound with all of those birds around! Link to comment
ransford 0 Posted April 21, 2006 Remarkable shot, as everyone says, but instead of seeing it as a painting as so many remark, it reminds me of late 19th century colored engravings, like a folio from Audubon or a zoological series. There was a time before color photography when some artists were attempting to be as naturalistic as possible, at the same time presenting to viewers magical scenes they might never see themselves; the world was full of mystery and adventure; we were naive. Guest Guest Posted April 23, 2006 The pastel colours complement each other and make a pleasant shot. The grouping of the birds makes a good contrast and the reflection adds another dimension to the shot. Good work. Cheers. Link to comment
