rjsc 0 Posted April 15, 2006 I'm sincerely not sure about this centered subject. If in the mood please drop me a line or two with you suggestions. Thank you in advance for your time. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 16, 2006 Excellent B&W, and the wave in the background is amazing. The centered subject isn't a problem at all, because so much else fills out the geometry of the composition. The light is great, too. I think you should rotate it a bit CW to get the lamppost exactly vertical. Beyond that, it's a very strong photo. (The garbage can is unfortunate, but nothing could be done about it.) my 0 Posted April 16, 2006 Hi Rui,I agree with Chris, the centered subject is ok, althought the shot could be improved by slightly rotating it CW.I love the geometry of the mosaic on the floor strengthened with the BW tones, too bad the darned garbage can...Keep up the good work. Link to comment
dasharv 0 Posted April 17, 2006 This looks great to me. I like the bird position and the sensation of movement. This is very good work. Thank you for sharing! Link to comment
rjsc 0 Posted April 17, 2006 Mindaugas: Thank you for your visit and comment. I appreciate it. Chris: Believe or not my tired eyes :) didn't notice any tilting until I read your comment. Now I can't see anything else but that :) I'm obsessed by that "almost horizontal" lamppost. The garbage can is something I praise when I visit this places and something I sincerely hate when I take photos. Also the damn thing was screwed to the cement square on bottom :) Thank you for your honest and always precise comments/critiques. Amilcar: You and Chris are absolutely right :) Thank you for your critique. Link to comment

street photography karina 0 Posted April 17, 2006 I agree with the previous comments. Would be perfect (if it weren't for the dust bin). Link to comment
dominox_xo 0 Posted April 18, 2006 First I think of the monument, but I realized that it's a living seagull. Very great moment and great shot. Link to comment

siyeouki 0 Posted April 21, 2006 Very nice tones, great contrast and interesting symetry. I agree with Chris about the garbage can but it's a minor element. The bird on the lamppost gives the final touch to a great picture, you pressed the shutter just at the right moment. The light through the wings is simply beautiful. Bravo! Link to comment
