Am technicaliy unable to understand what did you do to get this image like what it is!!! Can see that you've probably rotated it by 90 degrees. Am still at a loss with the background, is it a blurred table cloth or is it PS work? My PS skills are near zilch, so I really cant understand. Whatever it is, the image has a very serene feeling to it. Nice work, Congrats.

The background is actually a tabletop light box (the ones that are used for examining negatives and transparencies). The two white diagonal streaks are, in reality, two tubelights inside the light box.

No PS work here, although I must say that this kind of background will be difficult to create (not impossible, but pretty difficult as far as my knowledge tells me) on PS because you would need to account for the transparency of the glass.
