I like the idea of the blue frame, but this picture doesn't work like the other one did. Maybe it's because the model looks stiff and gloomy, maybe there is too much dark background, maybe because the frame is square with the photo, maybe it's because the frame is broken by the shadow.

Ultimately all these things add up to make this a poor picture compared to the other one.
