Stoke's Aster

This started out in color, went to BW and back to this.

Here's the Black and White version

I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the color (or lack thereof) on this shot - the effects seem as if they're creating some mottling that I don't think is complimentary. The harsh lighting does provide an interesting shadow on the background.

The b&w version doesn't do it for me. your coler experiment I do like. There's a lot happening in the picture, the radial shape of the flower is nicely accentuated by the straight lining in the background. Maybe the coloring could be more extreme (especially the flower?)

Ransford, your original upload works for me.I like the strong shadow behind the flower and the orange bg. the whole has a feeling of a silk screen type.well done. the b/w loses in this case.

The colors are fantastic and are very complimentary to the shadows in my opinion. Great photo!
