jon71 0 Posted February 3, 2002 An object that ppl would pass by with out a second look. Very pleasing to look at , the eye float over the picture with ease. Great shot!! Link to comment
g1 0 Posted February 9, 2002 Apart from the obvious interest of light and shadow, combined with good compositioning, I also find great appeal in the subtle red and green textures standing out from an otherwise monotone surrounding. Link to comment
fed sanchez 0 Posted February 27, 2002 I like the picture, but it doesn't fit with the rest of your 'bright' shots. Maybe if the wall was a bit more burnt out, with more contrast. The metal does look nice, but is compromised by the wall. Link to comment
venkman 0 Posted July 17, 2002 Andy, I think you have found what I am still searching for. Ever since I shot the "Blue Rope" in my collection (which you rated), I have been searching for a similar inspiration. In trying out so many subjects and so many things, I found that that image (and quite a few of yours including this one) have an inexplicable "feeling" to them. I am still trying to figure out why? Why should a picture of a plumbing fixture be so interesting? Yes there are other elements in play here, but the subject is still.. well a tap. I hadn't paid attention to the ratings and such until curiosity got the best of me yesterday and I snooped through the "who gave me ratings" page and randomly browsed from there until I landed on your pics. Keep developing whatever you feel to recognize such a composition. These are all very powerful images. Ven Link to comment
akbar 0 Posted September 5, 2002 Very nice shot. Simple but elegant. Beautiful composition. Part of the attraction to me is the monochromatic nature of the image with the slight hints of green and reddish brown of the oxidised metal. It almost looks like a B&W shot that has been colored. Nice work. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted November 25, 2002 Andy, Deepak stole most of my thoughts. I like the graphic simplicity & in this case, I think the frame around it adds to it's appeal. This is one type of shot that thrives on the spotlight effect of the bright sun. Best, LM. Link to comment
