pnital 36 Posted April 7, 2006 Was taken in one of the main commercial streets of the city. I upload as well the colored version. Which one ? Thanks for your thoughts. Pnina Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted April 7, 2006 Both colour and b&w work for me though I think I marginally prefer the colour version as it helps the sense of warm naturalness. The image has a strong feeling of human contact and friendship. The right side could be cropped but then the orange door post intrudes so on balance I think it is best as you have it. A lovely piece of observation! Link to comment
bens 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Prefer the black and white because the focus for me is the expression of the woman on the right. Its a well-executed candid with a lovely spirit memorialized. Link to comment
jim kerr 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Oh, Pnina, you really caught a wonderful moment in time.... People are really the same everywhere aren't they......Jim Link to comment

sarahunderhill 1 Posted April 8, 2006 I go for the B&W. I agree it makes you focus more on the women and her expresion. Great capture. Happy photo. Perfect timing. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Definitely b&w - my eyes wander all over the color one, but are immediately drawn to the woman's expression in the b&w version. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted April 8, 2006 I love both versions. As you know I have a predilection for B & W therefore I would choose it. However, the moment is caught so well and the expression on the young lady is priceless. Great composition and framing. Truly a moment that as Jim mention captures humanity in its universality. Well done. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 8, 2006 All of you. I'm glad you all liked it, even I try both. I upload what I think is beter, so I'm glad you like the B/W version, Really thanks for your comments. Pnina Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted April 8, 2006 The flow of conversation is nicely captured and the the tones did not hurt either. Lovely street shot. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted April 9, 2006 To all of you again for your B/W version vote, which I think is the better choice here, I'm glad you have confirmed my thoughts. Pnina Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted April 10, 2006 I'm with the majority on the B&W vs. color. Kim has clearly explained to me why I like the B&W better. The color actually detracts from the main subject of the shot - namely the engaging smile. My only suggestion would be to consider croping a little off the right margin. Nice choice and a very nice candid street shot! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Outstanding! Sorry, I didn't stop by earlier. Composition works and b&w conversion is excellent. Yea, Pnina. Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted April 18, 2008 Sometimes, it's almost a shame you have so many images, Pnina. Some gems get hidden sometimes. This is your best photograph I have seen so far, IMO. The tones, the expressions, the MOMENT. Link to comment
