r 0 Posted April 24, 2006 I love these wide pannel works for their harmonious compositional geometry, not to mention the often peculiar subject combinations. Here the darkened building on the right seems to have styled itself into what appears to be an observer in the immediate foreground, and we are looking over his/her shoulder at the goings-on in the courtyard. I think it's largely due to the kinks of nose and chin along the dark roofline ~ I've never stood with a building, and together observed it's courtyard in quite such a strong i-was-never-even-here kind of way. oswegophoto 1 Posted April 30, 2006 Intriguing, puzzling, amusing and quite fascinating, this visual fantasy, with buildings watching on both sides (Thanks, Richard, for alerting me, and that must be an eye on the far left). There's such a wealth of wonderful details here: the halo of light around the figures ( Dharmakaya light?), the reflections beneath, the lines vanishing into glare ... Brava! Link to comment
