dchatter 0 Posted April 2, 2006 I'm normally not a fan of nature photographs, unless there's enough abstraction possible in one. But I had to shoot this, as a part of a series. Yesterday a friend and I happened to witness an amazing dynamics of colors by the side of a lake. Standing against a strong wind from the west, I had a wonderful time breathing in, and in a way living through, the dynamics of the flitting moments. It was one of those elevated sets of instants that make me feel that I live. The wind swaying the trees, chasing the ripples on the water, rushing the clouds along, speaking of eternal truths against my ear... it was momentous, it was living, it was life itself. There is no manipulation whatsoever. Please view `Larger.' Link to comment
dchatter 0 Posted April 2, 2006 Thank you Biplab and Mehmet. I don't understand how the colors are appearing so muted after scaling :( Anyway, it is the way it is. Link to comment
bogdan_dumitru 0 Posted April 4, 2006 Hi Debasish, I love this photo. Great "rule of thirds" following. Great colors in the sky, you had the patience to wait for the right moment. Lovely reddish sunset. The placement of the tree is very good. It gives a sense of long, hard day. Bravo! Also, thank you a lot for visiting my work. You gave me a good rating, which gives a good feeling. Also critiques are very helpful -- I'm a beginner striving to learn. If you have a moment I'd appreciate if you'd take a look at thisnature photo. It was a shot taken on an impulse, no preparation or anything. I was trying to capture the atmosphere as a storm was coming by after a sunny day. Not sure at all how I did. If you have a moment, please let me know how you like it by rating it and maybe leaving a message if you have the time. See you here on PN, --Bogdan Link to comment
dchatter 0 Posted April 4, 2006 Hello Bogdan, It may be disappointing to you, but I didn't rate your photograph at all; in fact never have I rated any. I merely recorded my views on it. I'll get back to you in a while. Best wishes. Link to comment
