photos of hans koot 0 Posted April 1, 2006 Main subjet is quite centered, though compenseated partly with that nice diagonal line. Excellent light, good dof and background make it very appealing. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Superb colors and contrast, strong but not over the top. Sounds crude, but I would have cut the blurred flower behind the foreground Columbine... Not really a big issue, but a dark background behind the flower would not hurt. The centered composition is ok for me. Link to comment
dchatter 0 Posted April 14, 2006 I love this shot; rich, glorious, and a happy flower you've chosen to share with us. Lovely melting background that provides a subtle level of contrast against which my eyes can tirelessly explore the range of green tones, and in their light, the primary subject. The composition is beautiful, very nice diagonal construction (I'm a fan of the right-diagonal myself) and beautifully placed flowers to top it off. For me the three buds/flowers beyond are enjoying their own places of respect and importance in this current framing; I'ld refrain from cropping any of them. A pleasure to share. Best regards. iancoxleigh 0 Posted June 16, 2007 WOW! Now I know for sure the rating system here is messed up. I like the soo much more than my columbine pictures and mine have been rated much better. Great shot and I, for one, am not nearly so hung up about centred subjects. Lovely exposure of the stamens. Link to comment
