jimmcnitt 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Hi Abdul: At least the postcard was in the mail. That's the important thing, right? As with so many of your photo paintings, this one is based on a wonderfully clever idea backed by first-class execution. I'm totally jealous!!!! I have a couple of suggestions, which you may want to completely ignore, but here goes: Do you think the entrance to heaven would be even more majestic if the columns were elevated a bit closer to the top? At the same time, perhaps the man with the red ballon could be made smaller, so there is more of a sense of insignificance attached to him? Lastly, to me the wrinkles are a bit distracting and I can't help but wonder if a torn corner and maybe some coffee stains wouldn't be a more effective way to imply mishandling by the heavenly postal employees? But these are minor points. The main thing is that I have no doubt that Rene would really, really like this one! --jim Link to comment
