Waiting for the runner's (LA Marathon).

The expression on that woman's face says, "damn it's hot!" I think that detail sticks out most in this shot.

Kelly I bet this girl wasn't 16 yrs. old. Look at the other people in this shot...Coats, jackets, sweaters, etc.

But...the girl with the dog is in shorts? So what gives...I'll tell you. It's L.A. That's what it is!

The runner's exit gate is just to the left of this shot and these folks were sitting, waiting for thier loved one to appear. Some heled signs, others flowers. I should have taked shots of them.

To the right of this shot, is the tallest building in CA. The tallest west of the Mississippi for that matter, and when I put my camera to my face to focus a shot...Bam! Security was in my face! Big dudes too!

"No pictures of this building, sir!"

Duh...you can see it from Washington frigin' state dude!

"Then go there and take your pictures...dude!" " Not from here!"

 

Seattle was nice! (Just kidding!)

Kelly, by the way. Maybe you know. See the kid on the right with the green lanyard around his neck and wearing the red and white cap? Where did he get that? The only caps I can find have the "brim" in the front...not on the side like his! Wow...different isn't it! Yo'...LOL

You know Larry, I feel stupid but I didn't pay much attention to the people with jackets on. The main focus is on the 2 girls in the front, and they look like it's hot. =) So why wouldn't they let you take pictures of that building?

I wasn't trying to make you feel stupid Kelly. Don't! She was "soaking up the sun!"

The reason for the Security was obvious to me when I realized that just a couple of days prior to the L.A. Marathon, it was all over the news about 'this' building being a target for 9/11. With the thousands of people and the 'perfect opportunity to hurt many...if you know what I mean. Fortunately nothing happen.

Maybe this one is easier to look at.
