Fantastic action Carol. The background reduces the impact of the photo but it's hard to blurr out the fence and spectators when they are so close to the action and you so far away. Good capture.

Carol, I shoot alot of rodeo and for along time and you have done well here.

The cowboys toes are pointed downard which is very important and his hand posistion is right.

Rodeo photography is about anticipating the action always remember if you see it in the view finder its too late.

In any bucking shoot you must shoot from a low vantage point so here you should be crouched down and shooting up which gives the impression of height.

With out door rodeo you should always pre determine exposure as one minute you are shooting a black bull and the next a white bull.

Disturbing backgrounds are a way of life so your main concern is to posistion yourself to get the best action shot for the cowboy and the stock contractor.

You should know that not only the cowboy will buy the shot but so will the stock contractor and often they will buy more so find them and show your work.

Shooting from inside the ring is always best but be warned it is dangerous and I have the marks to prove it, you must get the shot and run for safety and like a war photographer never get too comfortable or you will get hurt.

If you ever need help feel free to e-mail me anytime just give me a few days to answear in busy times.

Take Care, Pete
