mmmee 0 Posted March 29, 2006 This is my pick of the "new folder' uploads. Nice capture of the fireworks. I like how the ground is also lit up. I have a couple of 35mm (not scanned in yet) of fireworks where I am shooting at a burst that is higher in the sky. I had zoomed my 28 - 135 lens and so the burst fills the frame. I don't have the color your provia has either. This is a really good idea. Another good trick I have seen with fireworks is to be able to shoot them with reflections in water. Link to comment
trw 0 Posted March 30, 2006 The lit up ground is actually the reflection in Ladysmith harbour. The silhoueted people are leaning against the railing of the Transfer Beach amphitheatre. I was on the second to top row of the amphitheatre, facing south, with the TLR pointed about 30° up, with a 80mm lens, so just the railing was visible in the bottom of the frame (set up before sunset). The fireworks barge was horizontally centred in the frame. The dark blobs on the "ground" with lights are boats. Link to comment
