marco_ruggiero 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Beautiful. Framing Depth and tremendous perspective. I love the B & W and the feeling that the lone boy evokes. The system only allows me to rate a 6/6 But the rating is a 6/7 my friend, sorry. Well done. Link to comment

dchatter 0 Posted April 2, 2006 I just saw the two versions you have my friend; they both have their own strenghths, and convey their own messages. I guess it depends on the interpretations. I'll put my thoughts down below this one. Quite clearly there is a natural movement suggested by the railings guarding a path that loses itself before the sea; this itself is enough dough for bread---to feed our minds. The horizon subtly differentiated against the sky is beautifully handled, the tones are lovely, and boosted by a nice contrast. I'm delighted at the central placement of the person in the frame, that is almost directly antithetical to the structurally skewed position viewed relative to the path! This is one aspect I adore about this shot. The position... the meditative posture... the non-intrusive perspective... the vertical space for thoughts to fly and gather ground... beautifully handled and nicely presented. A pleasure to share my friend. Best regards. Link to comment
