gerald_renville 0 Posted January 21, 2002 You really captured the horror of the event with this picture. I don't know which is more powerful, the sculpture or the photo. I don't think seeing this in person would have the same effect as your photo. Thank you for sharing. Link to comment
vuk_vuksanovic 0 Posted January 24, 2002 John Kohler (aka Carlos Ortez). You are a disgrace to this site. What does it mean to you to invent personalities and recruit your friends to inflate your scores? You are a mediocre photographer and I suspect, deep down, you know that very well. Link to comment
nikonuserf100 0 Posted January 26, 2002 .... for sharing your opinions with us. After looking at your folder, I can understand your confusion on what good photography should be. Link to comment
craig_kunitsky 0 Posted February 10, 2002 It's very painful to look at this. You captured it very well. Link to comment
adi1 0 Posted February 1, 2003 Because of your photo-portofolio on photo.net, my average for the ratings I made, has gone extremely up!!! Hope my credibility remained constant :) . Excellent work! Link to comment
jon_fernquest 0 Posted September 11, 2003 You certainly captured the great visual impact that this statue can make! Link to comment
john_bourgon 0 Posted December 20, 2003 I have to agree with the other comments. It must have been somewhat disturbing to sit in front of the "child" to take this shot. You sure have captured what the artist was trying to convey Link to comment
anirvan_nandy 0 Posted June 3, 2004 This is very disturbing image. You have captured the mood perfectly. Link to comment
nikonuserf100 0 Posted June 3, 2004 Disturbing ... yes, but it gets the point across. Link to comment
swati 0 Posted June 4, 2004 Hello Carlos! I am hardly any expert...but I was wondering whether a different angle would have brought out the pain a little more? Maybe from the angle of the child's hand? Also, the top section of the background statue ends abruptly.. I am trying to understand WHAT the photographer added to an already beautiful sculpture... swati 0 Posted June 5, 2004 Hello Carlos - Thank you for your mail. I appreciate the difficulty you have had in trying to get this shot - given the obstacles around the statues. As you rightly guessed, I havent been here in person - so it may be difficult for me to appreciate the shot. In this light, congratulations on a brave effort. Cheers! Link to comment
