1st session; 95 Min. with Miss T.(Fashion/Glamour/Portrait/Fine Art)

a. a.

Film photography. No digital work(except the obvious ones here of course). 10% crop or less if any. Forgive the possible noise, some over exposure or unwanted grains at times caused by low quality of scanning off the prints or negatives. (Some noise, grains or high key exposure are intended in some of the shots). Neat Image may have been used to only recreate the quality of the actual print.

I'm not feeling this one for some reason. I like the originality but I'm not sure what you're trying to say with the image. It seems a little too clinical for me.

Excellent observation! "too clinical" is the point!

The sloppy big framing is part of it, as well as the shadow of the body on the floor.

Have you see these new type of TV advetising which they are like home video made pieces while being awkwardly funny?

Well that was in my mind. Not everybody connect to those ads nor everybody would like the aesthetic and idea of this shot either...but then I'm happy that I've done it.

Thank you again.

Cheers

Misha

PS: The humor is simply what we see...awkward sexy position has been made because the person (seems like) looking for something inside of fire place. To make it more awkward and sexy the white socks and white flowery underwear were chosen. Since we can't see the head it makes it more about the joke and less about the person. To me it should've provoked the thought that we are looking at something that we should've turned our head, while we are really not that evil by looking at it and smiling. Maybe it's not working! :)

I think you make an excellent case for this shot. As a graphic designer, I have to defend my work all the time and I really respect an artist who knows how to articulate what they were after in the creative process. Reading your reply to my critique really makes me re-evaluate the piece. I can see now exactly what you mean about a kind of "home video" look. Nicely done.

Try it with a Christmas tree in the corner where the stool is and a stocking hanging from the fireplace mantle, and title it "Waiting for Santa."
