I'm a high school student and I've been photographing for about 9

months. I took this shot a few days ago and I'm very happy with how

it came out, but I'd like to hear what others think. Any comments are

appreciated. Thanks!

One of the better people photographs on Photo.Net. I love what you've captured here. I like what you are seeing.

What I like most about the image is the mistique. I wonder who this girl is, what motivates here in life? It looks as though there is something on her mind... maybe troubling her. What is she looking at?

Great composition... keep up the good work.

Definitely two thumbs up. I like the fact that her clothing and position half out of the window is a bit rebellious, but at the same time she's got a contemplative peaceful look on her face.

Which leads me to a philosophical question about photography - would this picture have been enhanced if the photographer had gone up to her afterwards, talked to her, learned the context surrounding the photo, and incorporated this context in the presentation of the photo? Or does the photo capture a moment that stands on its own, and might even be ruined by explaining what's going on outside of it?

whoa!! I know that girl! And that's Olympia!! kick Ass oly style!

Can't wait for reallity, freedom, movement, change. perched and thinking.

I like how the wires give it an upward feeling and the openness to the ground gives it a downward, want for freedom feeling. That dichotamy lends towards a disjointiveness in her body, between the verical lower and solid horizontal upper positions, and the angle-vector outside.

Foreshortening and distance have a really interesting effect here.

good principles to use in a more impactfull picture.

At the end of the street it looks like truncated, like olympia just stops at a white wall. I thought it was a foggy day at first.

Very interesting.
