Great pose of the cat, should go to the movie. The photo would be perfect if the camera position would be slightly more right up and if we could see some of the expression of the dog. It is a great shot anyway. Karl

Great shot. The cat says it all. I can only amagine that the dog is saying "Whats all the fuss about"

What I like is that the cat in mid-aerobatics is still keeping its eye fully trained on its enemy (another cat I presume, not a dog?). Fantastic shot - the DOF is wonderful.

What a wonderful capture of feline combat! I think that just a bit more depth of field would have made the photo somewhat better for me, but that's just a personal preference - and admittedly, something that's tough to plan for ahead of time when the fur is flying!

I think that I would have cropped a little off of the left side, but make no mistakes - this is a wonderful photo. The lighting is wonderful, the exposure was spot-on, and so was your timing!

Wow! How did you ever get this spot on timing and focus and everything?? This sort of scene must happen fairly often in your household!

What a delightful way to start my day! Gave me a lil jolt and woke me right up. Such a cute shot! I never seem to have my cam at opportune times like this. Really a cute shot and good tonal range.

Love it - a moment of time caught! I would wish for a touch more room at the top, but you got most of the cat, so it's a minor nit. Well done!

I have 3 cats of my own and have seen this live so many times I cannot count. But never have I seen it so beautifully captured on film. Wonderful Shot. My absolute new favorite picture.

I appreciate them very much. In retrospect I do wish I had tilted the camera up slightly so the cat wouldn't be jammed up into the top of the frame, but I didn't really expect the cat to jump so high when the dog ran up to her. I did try cropping the left & bottom of the frame a little and that made the photo seem a little more ballanced, but it felt cramped as well. I think uncropped, the cat has a little better lead room to jump to the left where it seems like she is heading. Again, Thank you for the Great comments & critique.

Yes, the "airborn" fellow - great title btw ! - is perhaps a little close to the top edge of the frame, but I don't think it matters much in an action shot like this. You have recorded an amazing moment in time and DOF is wonderful. The only negative here, for me, would be the fact that I can't see anything but the tail of the other animal... That's life, but this picture would really be top notch if only we could see a little bit of the profile of the other animal's face, or something like that. Regards.
