You're right, the blurred gray background is great...keeps your focus on the bird and his beautiful colors. Great timing. I love how his claws are just about to grab onto the tree and the wings are getting ready to be tucked away. Brilliant!

Almost all of your Red Shouldered Hawk images appear to be taken from the same location. As it appears these have been posted over a long period of time, is this your back yard? Do you have any other raptor species that frequent your neighborhood? BTW, nice effect on many of these hawk images. Are you using a telextender?

This shot reveals great technique, composition and patience, so congrats on the achievement. You may have gotten lucky with the fog, but you should probably give a tip of the hat to the L glass as well. This is really superb.

Wow! Spectacular backlighting, perfect moment, perfect depth of field, color, etc. This is as good as it gets. You have a lot of nice shots in this folder, but this is the best of them. Well done.
