Maures 5 Posted March 24, 2006 Once again I have to thank the famous San Francisco fog for it's ability to diffuse the background and soften the light as well. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted March 24, 2006 You're right, the blurred gray background is great...keeps your focus on the bird and his beautiful colors. Great timing. I love how his claws are just about to grab onto the tree and the wings are getting ready to be tucked away. Brilliant! Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted March 24, 2006 Almost all of your Red Shouldered Hawk images appear to be taken from the same location. As it appears these have been posted over a long period of time, is this your back yard? Do you have any other raptor species that frequent your neighborhood? BTW, nice effect on many of these hawk images. Are you using a telextender? Link to comment
patflynn 0 Posted March 26, 2006 This shot reveals great technique, composition and patience, so congrats on the achievement. You may have gotten lucky with the fog, but you should probably give a tip of the hat to the L glass as well. This is really superb. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted March 26, 2006 Wow! Spectacular backlighting, perfect moment, perfect depth of field, color, etc. This is as good as it gets. You have a lot of nice shots in this folder, but this is the best of them. Well done. Link to comment
