Its an eyecatcher. Good work with the aged look and feel, as well as the monstrous subject. I dig it Jeremy. Cheers, -Mathew Cook-

This picture is great! There's not enough shot of this kind on PN. Seriously, this is a nice piece of art.

Nice image-good idea and well executed. How do you get this aging effect-all the scratches and fading? I'd love to know as it's something i've been trying to do but without much success. Any chance of you sharing a few secrets with me?

If you have a scanner scan some plastic or glass that is all scratched up then after you have a good amount scanned use them for the scatches. What I do is changed them to b&w then invert the scratch image and set the layer to lighten Then play with the opacity. If you have glass or plastic with finger prints but not too many it's perfict. Then what you could do is scan old images and use the coners and blend them into your image ect...

Well, THAT'S disturbing! Reminds me of some of the elephant man shots. I like the filtering effects and the elements of the composition. Now I'm going to try to forget I ever saw this!!

This would fit right in in a Neil Gaiman book ... hence the title? Very well done. Thanks for the explanations about the scratches also. That's a cool trick.

Looks creepy and maybe because of that it has some kind of magnetic appeal. Someone mentioned the elephant man and that's exactly what came to my mind when I saw the thumb. The PS job with the scratched glass is perfect. Congrats and regards, Alex

Beyond the obvious gruesome appeal, I like the aged quality of the image that makes it look like the late-1800s photographs I've been reading about recently.

I hope U aren`t offended. I love this picture! I think it`s the most original thing I ever seen on photo.net. It is grotesque... technically perfect... I don`t know what to say, but I really need to say that this inspires me. Good job, Jeremy!
