david klein 0 Posted January 13, 2002 I like the juxtaposition of the tree and the rock. When I was in Bryce, I was blown away by the color of the rock, but did not look to compare to ordinary things. The exposure for the background is nice, but I would dodge the tree some so we can see more of its texture. Link to comment
michael gordon httpwww 0 Posted January 16, 2002 A great and *original* composition of a place made almost 'boring' from the wealth of copycat photos made of it. You've done a great job with the difficult contrasts, but I would have liked to see the tree moved a bit more off-center. Great work. Link to comment
richard_h._weiner 0 Posted January 16, 2002 You originally asked if the tree is too dark...it is a bit too dark. If you could have gotten a bit of light reflected back onto the trunk that might have helped. A fill flash in this case would have been too much. Still it's a great attempt and a good image. Can you get back there? Link to comment
marco mugnatto 0 Posted January 17, 2002 I like the contrast between the tree and the rock. I think it would be a lot better if the tree was a bit more to the left. Link to comment
marlene_degrood 0 Posted January 27, 2002 Absolutely TERRIFIC! I wouldn't change a thing. I like the tree being darker, there's enough detail in it, any lighter and it would distract from the background. Great Job!!! Link to comment
volker_stiller1 0 Posted February 1, 2002 This photo is refreshingly different from the typical Bryce Canyon photos. Very well done! Link to comment
