Nice idea and colours; but it is too visible that it is digitally generated and altered. Maybe it would be better to work with a higher resoluton; and scale it down once it is done.

Thanks for your comment, I did the shot over a year ago, and at the time, I had a reason for wanting the edges of the bird to be rugged and jaggied, I was probably trying to make it look illustrated and obscure the type on the bird. Now, I really like the nice quality of light on the bird and perhaps it should be sharper and more real, as you say. Thanks again.
