FISHERMAN'S LIFE #1

A photograph taken in Sanur beach. I have no choice that I have to

place the fisherman in the middle of the frame coz I'd like to

include the mount Agung (at the background) into the frame..

Very nice capture: the silhouette, the reflection, the net in mid-air against the brighter sky, and the gorgeous clouds! Only one small complaint: the very bright spot on the horizon on the right is a bit distracting.

I do think, as you anticipated, that he is too centered. But, all the options I can think of involve losing the sky (such as a panoramic look with him and the mountain) and you probably didn't have a lot of shots to get his. Anyway, perfect moment, the flight of the net is beautiful and I love the dramatic sky. Very well done.

Nice shot. Even before reading your introduction, I liked the placement of the fisherman with a fair amount of water in the foreground, because it seemed to place him in better context: it's a small individual with a small net in the midst of a very large sea.

I love the atmosphere of this shot SY. Given your explanation, I can deal with the subject being this centered. Wonderful shot.

Very nice. I would probably crop a bit on the left.

Don't get so caught up in trying to avoid centering everything.

 

The "rule of thirds" are just guidelines, if everyone shot everything the same way... I wouldn't bother to keep looking!
