The Sharp Killer

I'd like a Tigerfish jumping 2.3 feet to the right with a minnow in it's mouth. You should see the reflection of the eagle perfectly and the talons should be slightly offset so as to show the pair :)

I really do not understand how people can ask for this kind of stuff. This kind of shot is not very easy to shoot as one guy put it above (even with high-tech DSLR gear).

Very easy? What the hell are people thinking? I can't even get a decent shot of a sitting bird with my "high tech digital gear." I spend a lot of time in the outdoors and I've never even SEEN an eagle this clearly, let alone shot it. Easy my ass. This is one quality shot. I could wish the front wing weren't clipped off (if you cropped this) but other than that, it's perfect.

Only my gear is 8.5kg, I take this pictures from hand on a boat, you can see this on this picture :)

 

About this image, is full frame, and i not see any problem about composition :)

Great! And really please people give this photographer credit and I think he should give himself credit. To make something look easy takes hard work! Planning, practice and preparation are key. Great moment for the PhotoNet spectator's who I am. Congratulation, perfect shot!

Breathtaking. A shot like this is not only a beautiful thing but it also advances the understanding of flight and aerodynamics. It is fascinating to see how the bird is controlling its speed by extending its wing feathers and using is tail to control angle of attack. Just, magnificent. I am also incredibly impressed you can do this 'hand-held'.

the only think I can do is kick off my shoes lie down and just enjoy the picture. Ithink is NOT EASY to get this picture also with a great camera.
