cromwell1664877587 0 Posted March 14, 2006 I was shooting cardinals in flight yesterday, but never got the shot that I was after, so I made another composite of a male and a female. Link to comment
stefan lubomirski de vaux 0 Posted March 14, 2006 It really does look as if you caught the two together and it looks fabulous! Is it with flash? Link to comment
will king 0 Posted March 14, 2006 Scott, I've seen your previous composites and this one is not as believable as the previous ones. Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted March 14, 2006 Thanks everybody for the comments. Yes Stefan, I had two flashes firing on both shots. Will, the only other composite bird picture I have is the other one with the two cardinals in flight. Maybe that's why the others look more believable to you, because they're not composites.:) I do think I know where you're coming from, though. Thanks. Link to comment
jeff_henderson 0 Posted March 15, 2006 The body lingo of these two cardinals are summed up nicely in your title as well. Great shot! Link to comment

toddk1 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Fun shot but I do not see it as the top photo. Obviously, two shots, the lighting on the two birds is not the same, lots of what looks like clonning patterns in the background the shot has a look of being over fill flashed. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Very intersting and well done. I like the structure of this, although I prefer the previous composite against the white background. Two notes .... as long as it's a composite, why not give it a bit more room? I see no reason for th eright-hand birds tail and wing to touch the frame. Second, the right-hand bird looks good but the other looks a bit too pasted it, either the selection or the lighting. I guess the background could also be a bit more blurred. All in all though, original and very interesting. Let's see another! Link to comment
