I'm not sure about this one. Some who have seen it think it's

obscene! Your comments and ratings gratefully accepted.

In response to your critique question Is it obscene? - Well, it is the reproductive part of a living thing! (But aren't most flower close ups?) Seriously: great color, I like the softness, good gentle mood overall. I think there are many who would put it on their wall (or somewhere) for both its beauty and its gentle humor. Great work!

Added later: OK this is too much fun, here is a picture I posted recently in the same vein http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=495870

I agree with the above comments. Although I don't find it obscene... I admit I did find it to have some simularity to part of the male reproductive system. :) I also love the softness and peaceful mood it offers. It's very beautiful and natural. Definately a wall hanger in my book.

Beautiful and soft colors and movement, with of course, an obvious phallic symbol. At first glance, I was actually reminded of this image:

I was surprised to see Nestor's reference to the photo of my mushrooms - when I started getting all the "vaginal" comments, I had to laugh. I got the same response from my "pistacho" image in the same folder.

I guess there's no arguing that Freud was on the right track with how people's minds work.

To Jodie: I wonder who's mind is working how. That is: the photographer's one or the viewer's one? ;-))

Yes. Its erotic and Art. Georgia O'keeffe did flowers and each person is open to interpretation. I think its a very sensual picture. Well done. Nancy
