robertbrown 1 Posted March 12, 2006 While this seems to me to be an above average shot (decent light, well-composed, interesting subject), I can't see how anyone rates it 3/3 (below average). I just don't get it. By PN standards, this seems clearly 5/5 or 6/5. By the way, nice shot! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 12, 2006 A well-composed landscape in good light (though perhaps the light would have been even more impressive 30 minutes later). I like the bit of breaking waves at BL, which together with the other breaking waves at right forms a triangle radiating down from the top of the hill, along the shadow line and the cliff line. Also I very much like the balance between the shaded area BR and the patch of green TR. As Dallas suggests, you would get much more "pop" out of this one by adjusting the contrast a bit. Try running an unsharp mask at 15-50-0 and then adding a mild S-curve in curves. Link to comment
