I had just loaded my camera with Select B&W + when grandson Gage

pulled up to see what I was doing. Admittedly, this is a grab shot

but your comments would be appreciated.

I don't like the disembodied head look. I assume you were using flash--too much of the light came from the flash.

Captured the happiness in this little boy. I do wonder what he's got his hand on. I think if that was a reconizable object, especially a toy, that would add to the picture. But you got the shot! Congratulations.

Let me update the information regarding the picture. There was no flash - just the light from a table lamp. I wish I could say that a lot of planning went into the shot but it was pretty much a spontaneous shot. He pulled up to my chair, I grabbed the camera and took the shot.

 

It probably speaks as much to fast film, Kodak Select B+W and a 50mm, f/1.7 lens.

 

The exposure was 60 sec @ either 1.7 or 2.8.
