In addition to the infrared simulation, I also used Photoshop to

remove the inevitable picnic tables and guy-wires. The tree is

reputed to be the oldest living thing east of the Mississippi.

Lovely, Great mood, and this tree is a great subject, but still very well captured. The branches could well go on forever - this is a credit to your composition.

Interesting treatment of the diffuse light. The tree has a lot of interesting details and the shape of the branches are very strong. IMO, with a diffuse treatment, the strength of the excellent composition has been undermined.
