canonfodder 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Reposted version of a photo which I've amended based on comments received. I think this version works better for being lighter and better saturated. Once again, comments welcomed. Link to comment
exilephototylerjones 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Very nice photo, but in desperate need of a crop. The color, the sky, the two thirds land, the scene, everything is great except that the tilt is too distracting. I would adjust the frame so that the middle tree is perfectly vertical and then your immediate inclination will not be to tilt your head. Otherwise, great capture. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 7, 2006 Nice landscape, the light is good and the saturation too (I didn't see the previous version). I like the importance you gave to the sky in this shot cause it's a nice and 'complete' one but IMO the main distracting thing is this tree in the center. It makes a catching point for the viewer and - of course it's natural - it's even more distracting that it isn't vertical. Link to comment
canonfodder 0 Posted March 7, 2006 The tree isn't actually vertical on the moor as it's very windy. The spirit level on my tripod read perfectly level. I have included a 'straightened' version for comparison. Link to comment
chriss1 2 Posted September 19, 2006 original version of photo looks good, seems to be more dynamic. Tree in the center of composition is quite unusual but here it works Link to comment
