david_howe 0 Posted January 10, 2002 The dog doesnt look relaxed. I don't know if that breed has natural wide eyes but it makes him/her look scared. the back leg would have looked better in the shot and the camera looking down makes him/her look small or less powerful than the observer. I would have tried for a seated dog and lower the camera to make to dog look more powerful. As I assume thats what you are trying to create with the flag involved. Sorry but I am trying to help. Feel free to Critique my shots. Link to comment
GerrySiegel 868 Posted January 10, 2002 One of the wonders of life is what the female branch of our species enjoys about tying kerchiefs on dogs. My shepherd gets the same treatment.Arff.After all, next to Mastercard, a dog is man's best friend. Leave em some dignity. Cute shot, technically only so-so.GS Link to comment
philg 0 Posted January 11, 2002 Any photo with a dog in it deserves high praise of course. Nonetheless I think the background is unfortunate. It sort of looks as though the dog is standing on a sofa. But maybe not. I'd much rather see white seamless paper or a huge American flag backdrop or something. Link to comment
stephanie_buford 0 Posted January 11, 2002 I'm sorry, I don't know if this photo was meant to be funny or not, but I can't stop lauging...lol Link to comment
photo.net_hater 0 Posted January 11, 2002 It's my opinion that this picture is degrading both to dogs and the US flag, but what do I know about either? Link to comment
marc1 0 Posted January 13, 2002 He/she looks scared stiff, what eyes! all colours work very well, nice shot Link to comment
billmagee 0 Posted January 18, 2002 I dont think the dog looks scared. (s)he is doing what I feel dogs do best. Continually thinking of new ways to please and then with their guard down manipulate their human companions. Dogs do a lot more conniving than most give them credit for. Beautiful pup, give her/him a rub for me. Bill Magee Link to comment
tonys 0 Posted January 26, 2002 I see this shot as an excellent satiric picture, does not matter how bitter it is. The eyes of the dog are essential to this picture. The bewildered and scared eyes are both foreground and background and the scarf concludes the shot. You are brave to show this shot at the right time. Link to comment
