An absolute delight Leigh - you put the 58 to excellent use - vast but without any egregious WA effects. Everything converges and balances beautifully. And you've really bonded with colour neg - rich but subtle and 'real' colours. Wonderful.

Great coming at me clouds Leigh. This pic breaks a few so-called rules...truly spectacular stuff.

Excellent shot. I do think it might benefit from a slightly warmer white balance in the bottom foreground sand area though. A winner!

Extremely strong image, emotionally quite different to the previous uploads. I love the wide FOV, a suggestive radial composition with echo of lines in sky and foreground, upper and lower half entwined by the rocks/ clouds gaps and predawn light/ reflection. You continue a series of outstanding seascapes.

Cheers

I'm much more pleased with this shot than I anticipated. When I woke to see the cloudy sky I was pretty disappointed, but the gaps of light gave me a result I could never have anticipated.

I'm pleased that the photograph interested so many people. Thanks to everyone for your kind words.

Leigh, returning to view this one after more than a week, I can only say it's grown on me, if that were possible. This is stunning. I think I might need to buy a print of this one!

I've often peeked at your seascape, but did not leave so many comments. I guess this one -the most stunning- is the good one to express my admiration for your style and vision. Elemental, yet powerful.

The "warping" feel of the clouds is the main feature of the shot, but I seem to read all elements together... building some expectation. The cloud warp me to the light to the background, which echoes me into its reflection: oasis of warmt onto the cold beach. At this point, the blue line in the water prevents me to go back to the horizon, and the rocks are all that remains. They absorb all the expectation and I can almost see them getting animated, and form a strange being about to come out of the sea. In this respect, the vast expanse of foreground in the beach is needed...it is where this being will move its first steps.

What an adorable image, I absolutely love it. I also like that their are no holes or to white parts in the upper clouds. Very subtle play of blues and a superb compositon and technique!

I'm having trouble saying anything technical about this shot because it's so aesthetically beautiful. That is the place I want to be. Sublime. Heavenly. Perfect.
