It's a great portrait. Maybe his face is too much in the center, more space on the right could have been nice.

His eyes are powerful, Such a deep look! I've tried a B&W, hope you don't mind.

Nope, I have to disagree. Sorry, Yann. You're the superior photographer ... but I have to say that the color of the man's eyes really take what would have been a great photo and make it an exceptional photo. It's almost as if his eyes don't belong with that particular face. It's a fabulous image!!

Yeah - I forgot about that. I was about to give this a 7/7 ... but PN won't let me because you liked one of my images. Yeah. I'll be back! :-)

Excellent documentary portrait Dusan, which shows so well the signs of the rough life of this man. I love the natural colours and the sheeps in the background which are so important to him because they forms a great part of his life. Warm greetings, Ada:~)

This tells such a strong story. The close-up with such direct eye contact and piercing blue eyes grips the viewer. The details in his eyes and stubble and wool jacket are amazing. The sheep in the background are the perfect finish to describe his environment and life. Congratulations

Dear Peter, Thank you very much for your comment. Really, i am rated your photos and 7/7 and 7/6 or 6/6. But, yes, truth, your latest photo and 3/4! Why? It's is my point of view and not hypocrisy only for ratings and mafia system: "I to you - You to me". Peter, you and I no have bussines relation ship and advertising, it's only point of view, mine and your. Maybe your next photo i rating and 7/7 again and agian or 7/6 or 6/6 but only if is it MY point of view to the art, and it's thereupon 100% is not hypocrisy! You have and much better works and excellent works!

 

At end, i personal think, it's very correct and democratic system much better than hypocrisy.

an effective portrait. excellent crop, directness of contact with the camera, wonderful textures. and a hint of sheep in the background - all works really well. retro? wearing retro but teh gaze is very much contemporary.
