SolaresLarrave 2 Posted January 9, 2002 Got a nice texture sand in this shot. To think you used ISO 400 makes it even more unexpected. Link to comment
scott_eaton 0 Posted August 6, 2003 This is one of those images where every rule is broken, but the sum of the parts makes it better than the whole. All the little geometric elements play nicely together and yet seem unrelated, but in truth they are all part of glue that holds the image together. Yep, the kid is off center, but the shadow supports it, and the rocks in the upper left balance it out. Break the image into 3rds, or 6ths, or 4ths, doesn't matter. Everything fits nicely together. vuk_vuksanovic 0 Posted February 14, 2005 bernhard. yes i know i'm really boring with my rotation advice, but please try this at 180 degrees: it will keep the viewer inside the frame (and a lot more). vuk. Link to comment
bernhard 0 Posted February 14, 2005 You're probably right Vuk. This pic is part of a series. I started it when I was pushing the stroller and it occurred to me that the way I see my children is quite different from the way other people see them. I often don't see their faces but see them from behind. So I tried to make some pictures that express that. Like most pictures I made them primarily for myself. In this case you could be absolutely right, rotating might help viewers to be drawn in, but the then the picture would show something different than what I had in mind. The picture shows it as I see and feel 'From a father's [my] point of view'. Love is not just looking at each other, it's looking in the same direction. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery) Link to comment
