jeffrey_butler 0 Posted January 9, 2002 Taken in the early 80's of my wife and cat Mario (found a bunch of my old negs). Light sepia toned print. Link to comment
philg 0 Posted January 9, 2002 I think it is fantastic to have the parallelism between the dark markings on the cat's head and the dark shadow on the woman's head. If planned, you're a genius. If unplanned, you're a great photo editor! Link to comment
jeffrey_butler 0 Posted January 9, 2002 Thank you Philip...the shot was not planned (she wasn't happy about it either). I thought I had a bunch of dud candid shots until I developed the contact sheet a year later and saw the similarities in both facial expressions. Tried to clean the clutter off the wall in PhotoShop, but it left the picture empty, so I submitted the original. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 9, 2002 i think this is one of the best photos i've seen in a long time... philip is right, in either case it's an excellent shot. reminds me of old rock photography, like rolling stone etc. etc. very cool indeed... Link to comment
heather carpenter 0 Posted April 5, 2002 this is a great photograph. The tone, the composition, the expressions. It looks candid because of all the elements in the shot are natural to the environment, but they are framed so well in the picture w/o being cluttered, that is becomes a sort of refined glossy portrait. Excellent work. Link to comment
