Winter's Breath

ian cameron

Muted winter colours and wraith like mists lift slowly off the surface of Loch A Chroisg near Achnasheen, Scotland. The distant peaks include mighty Slioch blasted by snow. The shot was taken at around sunrise, but the sun's power was heavily diluted by a bank of thick white cloud. The soft colours and gentle contrast please me greatly. Please take a look at some new images recently uploaded to Transient Light and Timecatcher.

Ilove the gentle colours so fitting to this land.

The few trees suggest there is a warmer sun to be had and the snow provides adequate contrast.

There's a gentle melancholy here which I find very appealing. Beautiful, subtle colour tonality. Lucky man to have access to such lovely countryside. Best wishes, David M.
