Although a difficult shot, there is an effortless quality to the extraordinary travel portrait. Everything is just right. The shadow just adds to the realism contrasting with the dreamy atmosphere.

The blue sky is crisp and the light is gentle. Wooden structure is nicely captured to reveal lots of detail.

But, one thing which bothered me a lot is the accentuated legs due to the wide angle lens. I think the camera is too low and the wide angle has unintentionally produced this effect.

Ben, Pnina, Andrew, Jana, Klaus, Biliani, Steve, Adolfo, Kit Yoong thanks for commenting. Russ you're right, just two regular guys enjoying the ambience.

Arthur 12-24 mm Nikkor will distort and as there is a 6 feet wall in front of them and I don't have much leeway to work on so I decided to shoot it from the ground tilting upwards. I think the larger than life feet makes it an interesting composition.

Alec, this image exudes an ethereal glow, a vision which was created by the skill of the photographer. . . beautifully captured. . . I think the use of the wide angle is effective. . . otherwise, you would have a more mundane image. .

My guess is that this image will remind people of you. For many, many years Alec. Original and very pleasing to the eye. You are showing the art of your craft. A pleasure to view.

Hi Shmil, thanks for coming by. You can for vertical shots - albeit a bit tricky. You may have to use Filter, Distort, Lens Correction with Adobe CS2 to transform it properly.

Easier to control with 50mm lens.
