The tigh cropping and selective focus add to the goal of forcing the viewer's eyes into your subject - Tiger's face. I like your choice of black-and-white. Photoshop's dessaturing tool seems to have worked perfectly here, although it is not always the best option to convert color pictures to B&W.

The whiskers put a spell on cat lovers :)
