ryan mcgill - trm photo st 0 Posted February 24, 2006 Sitting in a field checking out pumpkins. True... True... I love this shot! He almost looks like he has a stogie in his mouth. This is the essence of cool! LOL! Link to comment
giggles 0 Posted February 24, 2006 Great capture Jason. Love his expression and the colors in this. One recommendation would be to dodge his eyes a little to make them pop. The catchlights in them are nice and should be emphasized. Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted February 24, 2006 Thanks all for your kind feedback. Emily, thanks for that great tip, I will have to try that:) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Really cute - bright, colorful and appealing. I'm not real crazy about the frame; I think I would like to see the pumpkins without the distortion, but perhaps crop off the top above the pumpkins. A minor thing to me and I really like this shot. Link to comment
paprika 0 Posted February 25, 2006 excellent capture, very cute photo, interesting framing. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Jason- I'm trying something new, bare with me. What I like: The vivid colors & how they compliment each other. The wonderful expression on his face (love the tongue), the cute hat & the way it's turned backwards. The catch-lights in his eyes & the smoothness of his skin & the color of his skin, perfect. The DOF of the background. Your creativity with regard to the frame, I like something different & this makes the image look like it might be a reflection from a mirror he's staring into. I'm going to use this sometime. I normally don't like central compositions, but this works for me, I think in part because the tongue (the focal point) is dead center. What I don't like: The shallow DOF in front of him, I want the big pumpkin & it's stem in focus. The flat lighting, it does not accentuate his wonderful pudgy cheeks causing a lack of definition. Overall I give the image 2 thumbs up! :) Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Jayme, thanks for taking the time to give such great and detailed feedback, it is much appreciated. I am not sure if you noticed, but I took to heart the previous feedback relative to vignette and have had great feedback since on the images I have posted. I value your opinion and appreciate it:) Link to comment

jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted February 27, 2006 No problem, thanks for stopping by and checking out my pictures. I am a picture addict, I like to look at them almost as much as I like to shot them. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 28, 2006 Jason, his expression is priceless. Using the pumpkin patch as a setting was a great idea. I have to say I'm not crazy about the red line. It's taking my eyes away from the subject. While I'm nit picking here, I agree with Jayme's observation about DOF. I also think this could be cropped a bit, especially at the top. Again, I'm just nit picking. This is a really a cute shot! Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted February 28, 2006 I appreciate the nit picks, it helps me to improve. I agree with the improvements. Keep them coming:) Thanks Link to comment

jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Thanks Robin and Bonnet, I think I will have to twist that into some type of caption for this shot. Link to comment
