What about a B&W....Hope you don't mind that I took liberties with your photo...

I think the B&W works better as the original has some funny colour casts.

I don't mind at all. I'm here to learn after all. The black and white does work but I think I will continue to work on the color. The right eye of the original sculpture does have an odd yellowish tint. I don't know that I can do much about that. The above was an effort to mute some of that. Didn't work well. My daughter feels the blue tint in the shadow on the forehead is distracting...

Interesting, Renny, that you are speaking about colours of particular regions. Could mean that the expression of the whole isnt strong enough? In fact the BW version of Clint looks more consistent to me.

Daily, thanks for your comment. I'm not sure. Frankly, the statue was varigated in coloration related to age and past repairs (i.e. the nose & right eye). I never noticed the blue coloration spots until my daughter commented on it.... bears some thought!
