graham_byrnes 0 Posted June 22, 2002 I like it despite the nose shadow... to me it's a depiction of a couple where he is dramatic, worrying about what is happening off-scene and trying to protect her: "let me be your James Bond..." Meanwhile, she thinks it's all nonsense and calmly addresses the camera. Like the man says, it's theatrical. Cheers, G Link to comment

jacob_ledoux 0 Posted June 22, 2002 You wouldn't happen to be projecting would you Guy? This picture in your folio http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo.tcl?photo_id=824295 reminds me of some kind of Silence of the Lambs serial killer. Seriously! I didn't like this pic at first but it grew on me. Good job Luca, I love your portfolio. Link to comment
tomi_knuutinen 0 Posted June 29, 2002 So stiff looks and poses. Cold blue colors would fit this, they would look like cyborgs then, but now the red curtain on the background and warm lights just add to the overblown sugarness of the photo. Maybe if the light would be towards lady's chest, and the faces would be in a shadow, then there would be a bit of that mystery feeling, that is far away from this try. Too conservative for my taste. claire_hobson 0 Posted July 10, 2002 How very "In the mood for love"! The secret relationships of 'old' hong kong photographed with a modern twist! A set from times past modernised by the styling of a modern-day couple. Not a qi pao in sight! Appreciate the comments regarding the backdrop, but the theatrical feel and colours add to the 'theme' of the picture. Although, I understand how it can be construed as distracting if the essence of the theme is not fully recognised. Definately wouldn't have the impact with a western couple. Tony and Maggie watch out! Link to comment
